Hello, I have the same bug.I use a "ctrl" key as a convenient "Delete" next to the arrow keys. I set the autorepeat with "xset r 105". The autorepeat stops working after some time, and on every suspend/resume. This did not happen previously.
I currently have xserver-xorg-core version 2:1.7.5-1
