Bug#573000: dri very tricky to use, when used hangs machine after using GL (glxgears)

Package: xserver-xorg-video-r128
Version: 6.8.1-2
Severity: normal

*** Please type your report below this line ***

attachment xorg.glx enabled dri/glx

Hi, Im having some problems with the xorg r128 driver.

When DRI is enabled the screen corrupts and becomes unresponsive, I
found a configuration online which will allow DRI to enable. As soon
as glxgears is started or any GL program the system will freeze
entirely.

Ive tried using debian stable, currently i switch to debian
unstable/experimental with the same results.

I do not know how to troubleshoot this but I will give you any
information I can.

I am attaching every relevant piece of information I can immediately
think of about the system I am using. As well as the configuration(s)
for xorg that I have tested.

the xorg.glx allows glx and dri.
the xorg.conf is the xorg.conf I have been tinkering with and may have
a lot of weird configurations in.
