Please note I'm really ignorant, first. :) But I guess it could be that the pinned object is locked somehow, and then becomes available later, which could explain the delay? (I've just checked drivers/gpu/drm/i915/i915_gem.c’s i915_gem_madvise_ioctl() in linux-2.6 and that sounds possible.) It'd be very nice if you could try latest kernel version as described in this blog post: http://ikibiki.org/blog/2010/02/28/Where_have_you_been/ If you're still experiencing this issue, it'd be nice to have an updated log, just in kind, so that I can forward it upstream.
