Hi,

you may want to upgrade your kernel. From your previous mail:
| Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-trunk-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores)

There's 2.6.32-2-* available in sid currently, and 2.6.32-3-* should
become available shortly; I think I've seen related bugfixes being
added through the stable kernel updates; while I didn't check for your
particular issue, I still it can only help.

Also, it would be nice to see the “dmesg” lines that are added when
you plug the external monitor in (if any). [e.g. you could start the
following command before: tail -n 0 -f /var/log/messages > ~/yourlog]

Please let us know if that helps.

Mraw,
KiBi.
