Works ok now (I had added 'set gfxpayload=1280x1024' to grub
configuration to get a correct resolution on boot).

Thanks for your help. I think this bug can be safely closed, except if
there is any mean to ensure that any other fb driver is loaded before
i915, to avoid such situation.

Now, with the default configuration, I still have a small resolution on
boot, until KMS is enabled.

I need to pass 'video=i915:modeset=1' parameter to the kernel so that
KMS is loaded immediately (see #563003 which explains this)

Unfortunately, I can't use 2.6.32 as I am hit by #558237 against
linux-2.6.
