Subject: xserver-xorg-core: Xorg high cpu usage

Justification: renders package unusable

Since dist-upgrade several months ago, Xorg results in high cpu usage
(typically between 10 and 60%), e.g., when switching between windows,
starting applications, ... . X-system is awfully slow.

At the time, googeling suggested that problem was related to bigmem
kernel. Indeed migrating to standard kernel solved the problem.

However, problem came back. This time googleing suggested to move to
more recent kernel. However, this did not solve the problem.

Other bugs on this system that appeared in the same time span may be
related:

 - iceweasel crashes
 - 'double click' using touch pad does not work anymore
 - epiphany dowloads are 0byte files
