It is still an issue; I'm attaching the keymap.xkb. BTW, running the
command throws:
~$ xkbcomp -xkb $DISPLAY keymap.xkb
Warning: Could not load keyboard geometry for :0.0
BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)
Resulting keymap file will not describe geometry
I have no idea what this means - I have no idea what resources are
meant here; I have plenty of free memory and diskspace.
