well, actually, it is not some other package, as there is no package
providing that alternative. however, i do indeed have a file (a very old
one) named x-terminal-emulator.1.gz with the contents of "manual". most
probably some upgrade failed to properly transform (or discard) the
manual configuration. i suppose this should be reassigned to dpkg.
