I was just doing something like moving a window and all of a sudden
compiz crashed (all decorations gone). dmesg says:

Starting compiz again with compiz --replace &
wasn't very succesful. It started, but everything was very very very
slow. Unusable. So, I killed it again and started metacity to type this
bug report.
This was printed on the terminal when starting compiz again after it
crashed:

Strange that it is so slow, because when logging in, it works fine
(except for the mentioned crash).
Another annoyance was that my gnome-terminal windows (which are in the gnome session) were suddenly placed elsewhere (other windows were not).
