x11-common has nothing to do with this.  Also the keyboard and color
issues are likely unrelated, please don't conflate them in a single bug.

Please send the output of '/usr/share/bug/xserver-xorg/script 3>&1'
(when running the updated version, not the one from lenny).  And
describe the issues more precisely (with a screenshot, e.g.).
