This bug happens even more often with Linux 2.6.31-rc6. It now happens about half the time. Also, could you please inform the upstream bug that I can reproduce this problem? According to the conversation there, it's not clear that anyone else sees this problem repeatedly. I'd also like to ask that you consider applying Ubuntu's patch to the server, since it fixes the problem (and is good defensive programming anyway).
