libdrm2 (2.4.12-1)
Don't know enough to know whether this is a bug or not.
OS : Debian Testing
Kernel : 2.6.30-1-amd64 (Debian 2.5.30-5)
X.Org X-server : 1.4.2 (Debian xorg-server 2:1.4.2-11)
Video Driver : ATI Catalyst proprietary driver 9.8
Installed Catalyst driver via ATI's installer.
fglrx loaded and X came up but no 2-D acceleration (i.e. scrolling,
window movement, etc. was so slow and choppy as to be unusable).
The first indication of a problem in Xorg.0.log was the following :
drmOpenDevice: node name is /dev/dri/card0
drmOpenByBusid: Searching for BusID PCI:1:0:0
drmOpenDevice: node name is /dev/dri/card0
drmOpenByBusid: drmOpenMinor returns -1
drmOpenByBusid never finds a valid node, so no drm and no dri.
After investigating a bit, I reverted libdrm2 from version 2.4.12-1 to
2.3.1-2 which has fixed the problem.
