Thanks so much for your reply! I have tried to run the radeonhd driver from testing and it does not recognize the hardware. The results of updating xorg and the drivers to unstable: The new radeon driver: * the configuration that used to work (NEC 1400x1050 and virtual 3456x1200) with the radeon driver in testing displays black screen and hangs (please see the attachement: Xorg.0.log-radeon-working-6.9) * the configuration that did not work with the radeon driver in testing (NEC 1600x1200 and virtual 3520x1200) displays something sensible (a configuration window for KDE) and hangs (no input from mouse nor keyboard seems to have any effect - reboot needed) (Xorg.0.log-radeon-conf-notworking-6.9) The new radeonhd driver: * both configurations display the KDE configuration window, but in the "clone mode" (the same thing on both displays) and hang (Xorg.0.log-radeonhd-notworking-6.9, Xorg.0.log-radeonhd-working-6.9) Lukasz
