Bug#524558: Occasional X hangs where drmCommandWrite() never returns

OK, thanks for the information.

Yes, I tried a 2.6.29 kernel (the one from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-
ppa/mainline/v2.6.29.6/) but it did NOT solve the problem for me.

I will try the earlier kernel 2.6.29.2 (from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-
ppa/mainline/v2.6.29.2/) which was reported by "aya" to be successfully solve
the problem. Maybe it just works with very specific kernel versions.

Do you have other suggestions what to test? I would really like to invest some
time to help solving this problem as it is very annoying.

Another note: Many people are saying that X only freezes when they run
3D/OpenGL applications but I get freezes without running such apps and without
having any desktop effects enabled.
