Package: compiz-core
Version: 0.8.2-6
Severity: normal

Hi.  all of the below applies to debian squeeze

compizconfig-settings-manager (as well as fusion-icon and some other compiz-related packages) requres libcompizconfig0, and compiz-core has the following dependency:
 Breaks: libcompizconfig0 (<< 0.8.0)

However, in suqeeze, (0.7.6-1) is the latest available.
Therefore, none of these other packages can be installed, and compizconfig can't be run.

Thanks,
Al

This is due to a bug in britney (the tool that handles package
migration to testing), which doesn't handle Breaks, I think. Hopefully
libcompizconfig will migrate to testing soon, in the mean time you can
install the version from unstable.
It looks like this is stalled because protobuf waits for java stuff on
hppa, and failed to build on ia64. sigh.
CCing -release to make sure they're aware of the breakage in squeeze.

Cheers,
Julien
