Bug#529939: xserver-xorg-video-intel: atheros driver crippled
Package: xserver-xorg-video-intel
Version: 2:2.3.2-2+lenny6
Severity: important
When intel driver is active, the atheros driver functionality is crippled.
I've measured this with ping - if I have
only xterm running, average RTT is about 100ms. With complete KDE RTT is over
4 seconds with 10% packet loss. If I
switch to console from X the RTT goes immediately under 1ms and vice-versa.
I have tried both ath5k and madwifi driver with kernel-image-2.6.26-2-686 and
custom build of 2.6.29.4 and the problem
remains. I've also tested it with default xorg.conf and with xorg.conf
obtained from X -configure with the same results.
I've checked /proc/interrupts and the graphics and atheros didn't share IRQ.
Vesa video driver and intel 2.4.0 works fine.
