CONFIG_MTRR_SANITIZER_ENABLE_DEFAULT=1
CONFIG_MTRR_SANITIZER_SPARE_REG_NR_DEFAULT=1
Unfortunately, this has not made any appreciable difference; the boot
messages still report

and the Xorg log still shows it going for EXA instead of UXA:
