The attached tarball contains both dmesg and Xorg.log files: - before upgrading to sid (I downgraded to testing before filing the bug to understand which package upgrade caused the problem) - after upgrade - after tryng to switch from X to console. Also included ther is an excerpt from dpkg.log for a description of the upgrade. File names should be self-explanatory. Let me know in case you need furhter info.
