Package: gnome-control-center
Version: 1:2.14.2-7
Severity: normal
It is nice to see that there is a UK Dvorak keyboard layout in Gnome,
but there are a few things I consider amiss.
First, the positions of the " and @ signs are suboptimal - ideally in a
Dvorak layout, the " should be with the ', even though that is the US
standard. @ could quite happily go to Shift-2 or AltGr-' if this is
done.
Second, Shift-` produces ~. not ¬(notsign), but the # and ~ key is
still implemented.
It could actually be correct that the @ and " are in the positions they
are in, but if so I would like to see a reference to this as the UK
Dvorak layout elsewhere.
I am quite happy with the QWERTY layout but thinking of experimenting
with Dvorak.
