Bug#509691: Playing a game with compiz enabled, freezes Debian and needs a full restart!

This is probably a 3D (libgl1-mesa-dri) or 2D
(xserver-xorg-video-radeon) driver issue.

What are the exact symptoms? Can you still ping the machine? Can you ssh
in? Are the game and X server processes still alive? ...

Is the 'Unredirect fullscreen windows' option enabled in compiz?

Does the same thing happen with 32 bit userland or kernel?
