Bug#508881: xserver-xorg: X server runs log-amok when acpid is not reachable

My aim is to increase the energy efficiency of my Debian installation by
eliminating
all unnecessary disk access (r/w) when I'm not actively working on the
machine, yet the
machine needs to keep running. One of the worst offenders is, ironically,
acpid, which
triggers scripts to be run every so often for battery status changes and other
activities.
Stopping acpid in these situations helps stopping the disk access, however
when running
the X server, it tries to connect to acpid periodically, about once per
second. This is
probably a good idea, but it definitely shouldn't append one log line per
second saying
that it cannot do this at the moment. One log line in Xorg.0.log for the
disconnection
and another one once the reconnection succeeds should be enough.
The reportbug hooks have conveniently included my Xorg.0.log which shows the
symptoms
of this issue.
