Subject: xserver-xorg-video-intel: Fonts and many other items fail to render legibly

Justification: renders package unusable


Reportbug has picked up data from the currently-running, perfectly
functional 2:2.1.0-2 package. I could not run reportbug with 2.2.0-1
installed. All fonts were completely illegible (black boxes) unless I
set Gnome's font rendering preferences to 'monochrome'. At that point,
*most* fonts showed up, but not all, including none in the gnome
terminal. Xterm worked just fine. However, in addition to the font
rendering problems, most icons were either rendered impropperly or
surrounded by black rectangles. Text consoles failed to display at
all, even with GDM stopped.

Reverting to the version of the package currently in testing fixed the 
problem. This reverted xserver-xorg-core and xserver-xorg as well, for 
dependency issues. I'm filing the bug against -intel because it does not 
appear on a similarly configured system using an ATI card.
