Please send the log when removing DisplaySize in xorg.conf.

Can you try a more recent Xserver and/or driver?
For instance there's a nv driver 2.1.7 for Xserver 1.3 in
http://people.debian.org/~bgoglin/rebuilds/nv-2.1.7-Xserver1.3/
