Same problem on ATI Mobility X300 with a recent ati driver and firefox
3b4. But only when using EXA, switching back to XAA seems to fix the
problem. Try adding
    Option "AccelMethod" "XAA"
to the device section of xorg.conf

I am retitling accordingly and reassign the server.
