Bug#501185: compizconfig-settings-manager: Number of mouse buttons limited to 9
Package: compizconfig-settings-manager
Version: 0.7.6-3
Severity: normal
When configuring shortcuts ccsm only offers nine mouse buttons (button1
to button9) in the choose list.
Buttons with higher numbers can be entered in the corresponding variable
in gconf (probably true for any other backend) and work.
Exemple:
The thumb button on my mouse is button10. I cannot set it as shortcut
for the shift switcher plugin in ccsm. Though it works perfectly when I
enter "Button10" as value for
/apps/compiz/plugins/shift/allscreens/initiate_button in the gconf
I'd suggest that either the list is elongated to as many buttons as the evdev
input driver supports, or to a similar grab mechanism is implemented (as it
exists for keyboard shortcuts).
