Version: 7.0.2-2
Severity: important

Bug number 445313 that I recently submitted for the
same problem was closed. Blender still crashes on
startup, but the backtrace from gdb indicates that
it is crashing in a different place. So I open a new
bug instead of reopening 445313.

Blender (2.45-1) crashes on startup in mga_dri.so:
guessing 'blender-bin' == '/usr/bin/blender-bin'
Compiled with Python version 2.4.4.
Checking for installed Python... got it!

I'm running kernel 2.6.22.5.
