Bug#491649: xserver-xorg-input-elographics: X kbd unresponsive after touch; touch does not perform a "mouse click"

Using an EloGraphics ET1825L.  Used to work with a prior version, but I'm
not sure which.  If it was in Etch, that was the prior version.  If not,
it was an Etch-backport version.  Failes now with version in testing.

Mouse tracks touchscreen as normal, but no mouse "clicks" are evident.
Once the screen has been touched at all, the X keyboard is not functional.
If an external (USB) mouse has been attached, it functions properly until
the screen is touched, but then it quits as well.

The original bug has not been seen by me, but several commented (later on
in this report) that they are seeing similar symptoms.  This seems to be
a general regression.

In the attached xorg.conf and Xorg.log, the debug level for the Elo driver
is set to 3.

I'm not familiar with debugging X server problems, but can certainly run
tests if someone wants to provide instructions.

This "reportbug" is not being run on the target system, so I've substituted
some information below by hand.
