Bug#486586: compiz grabs keys from vnc fullscreen
Package: compiz
Version: 0.7.6-3
Severity: normal
When I start vnc, even in full-screen mode and try to operate the window manager
inside vnc, modifier+mouse actions don't work.
I tried running xev inside vnc full-screen. Pressing a modifier (Control, or Alt, or Super)
generates a "KeyPress event"; when I release, it generatees a "KeyRelease event." Similarly,
when I press a mouse button, it generates ButtonPress and ButtonRelease events.
However, if I press and hold a modifer, when I press a mousebutton, a KeyRelease event is
generated and no ButtonPress is registered.
This makes it nearly impossible to use a windowmanager on the remove side of a vnc connection in
full-screen mode.
I checked that fvwm2, for example, does not have this behavior.
