Bug#486524: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics: Should per default configure right-side scrolling
Package: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics
Version: 0.14.7~git20070706-2.1
Severity: wishlist
Hi,
I deleted my xorg.conf to see how good the new autodetection software
works: like a charm, except one thing: the touchpad has no scrolling
enabled.
I think that the scrolling has to be enabled per default because it the
behaviour that most people expect.
My previous working xorg.conf had that:
Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Synaptics Touchpad"
Driver "synaptics"
Option "SendCoreEvents" "true"
Option "Device" "/dev/psaux"
Option "Protocol" "auto-dev"
Option "FastTaps" "1"
Option "SHMConfig" "true"
Option "MinSpeed" "0.6"
Option "MaxSpeed" "1.5"
EndSection
I can't get to know which part made the scrolling work, but with the
autoconfig, it doesn't.
Best regards,
Didier
