Bug#484902: xserver-xorg-video-radeonhd: Draws some parts of application windows incorrectly

Hi,

I first noticed that gitk only drew couple of items (many are missing),
something along this rough drawing:

find | next
-----------
search | xx

...where find, next and search are vfilling and next hfills, both
bottom/top and search/xx separators work as expected and in the
lower portion both scale. xx has this content:

...Ie., two radiobuttons, listbox and vertical scrollbar.

I first though that gitk was flawed, then gitk+tk8.5 but this
problem also occurred for gitks that were run over ssh -X on 
a known to be working configuration. ...I made some trivial
tests and it seems that drawing more than one button in wish
(both tk8.5 and tk8.4) always shows just one h and v filling
button.

...I knew it was working at some point of time in the past,
I eventually went back to Driver "vesa" which used to be configured
at first until I setup the radeonhd, and that did the trick, gitk
missing buttons were fully restored!

I suspect this very same problem affects other applications as well,
eg., the default pdf viewer uses ridiculously large scale to display
pdfs (as if it would have zoom 8000% or something like that, some
aspect ratio distortion happens). But I haven't confirmed it really
is the case.

Severity important because it renders some application(s) totally
unusable, while the other parts of the system still work as
expected.
