Hi all After upgrading to the latest version of these packages in testing xorg 1:7.3+10 xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.3.1-1 STR works again (using kernel 2.4.24). The screen remains black after resume but switching to a virtual terminal and back reanimates the screen. What I've also noticed is that with using the intel driver instead of the old i810 one, repainting the whole screen using an overlay (e.g. darken the desktop when trying to log out of KDE) is much slower than before.
