Bug#483170: [compiz] Password prompt after screensaver is not visible
Package: compiz
Version: 0.7.4-1
Severity: serious

Dear Developers,
I don't know if this bug is related to #478836. I have this setup to protect
access on my computer: after my screensaver has started, I must insert my
login password to stop screensaver and restore my session. If there is compiz
as a WM, I can't see the prompt for entering my password and the keyboard
locks. The mouse pointer is still working but it's useless, the only way for
me to escape is pressing the shutdown hardware button. I don't know if it's
possible to login through a remote shell.
I experienced this behavior in KDE and with many different screensavers, not
all of them: mainly substrate and interaggregate (this is the worst, because
it's able to lock the screen even in preview with compiz).
Bye
Valerio
