Bug#474462: xorg should restore consoles old Alt+F<n> keyboard shortcuts once it gets SIGSTOP

Package: xorg
Version: 7.1.0-19
Severity: wishlist

Hi,

I recently noticed from a remote host that my notebook became very hot
and that xorg consumed a lot of CPU. I that's why stopped xorg via
killall -SIGSTOP xorg. Back at home I disconnected my notebook by
accident from the network and was not able to work with it as switching
to a console via Strl+Alt+F1 did not worked as X was stopped.

Since I normally can switch consoles via Alt+F<n> but have to use
Alt+Ctrl+F<n> from within X I assume that X installs his own keyboard
handler. It would be nice if the old one is restored once X get's the
SIGSTOP signal. I'm not sure whether it's possible but there should be a
way to continue from a stopped X session without rebooting the system.

Jens
