The mouse cursor has become deformed. It is like it has been shifted
along by half it's length, so that you get the right half then the left
half. For example, the bare cursor before the window manager starts looks like this:
<>, rather than this ><. Setting the radeon software cusor option works
normally, but has the problem that it also leaves artifact blocks on the screen, so I am
trying to get the hardware cursor to work.
