Yes, it might be a good idea to try the latest git of the driver (master
branch). We'll see if the upstream devs want it.

Also, it would be nice to post your xorg.conf and Xorg.0.log (when
vga=871 is removed), they'll probably need it. Posting the log *before*
the crash would be ok since we already provided a backtrace of the
crash. Just make sure the same crash occurs after this log :) Also, make
sure you do that after a hard reboot (shutdown completely and start
again) so that you don't have bad warnings such as"Existing errors found
in hardware state" in the log.
