I am not sure if this problem is related to xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.2.0-1 or to xserver-xorg-core 2:1.4.1~git20080131-1 as I am unable to install the separately due to dependencies.
As many others have reported font problems with the new intel driver I have decided to file this bugreport against xserver-xorg-video-intel.

My problem is much more specific then the problems reported by others.

All fonts are drawn well, except "Times" which is not drawn at all.
The Problem did not occur with (and courl be solved by downgrading to) xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.1.0-2 and xserver-xorg-core 2:1.3.0.0.dfsg-12lenny2.

I discovered the problem while using Mathematics (a proprietary computer algebra system from Wofram Research).
