found the same results with 1.0.0-76-gbc88513. I guess, indeed, I'll
have to hit bugzilla (most likely by forwarding this, initially, so if
you're set up to bring it upstream efficiently already, I wouldn't mind
if you did so, I'll monitor there)

xserver-xorg-video-ati 1:6.7.198~git20080117.6bd510a2-1 now installed.
Will try tomorrow and report.
