Package: xserver-xorg Version: 1:7.0.19 Severity: normal The user does # dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg He answer tons of questions, and when he finish, he sees xserver-xorg postinst warning: not updating /etc/X11/X; file has been customized Which sounds very much like he did all that typing for nothing. Maybe you want to say "link to /etc/X11/X has been customized". Anyway, be sure to say something positive first, about something getting saved, else it looks like one big failure to the user.

This has been marked as fixed in 1:7.3+8 because the md5sum checks are bypassed on dpkg-reconfigure, I am closing for real now. Brice
