The real question is why doesn't this driver go with the others on
freedesktop.org?
It would be better for us to have all drivers there if we want to be
sure everything is sync'ed and maintained...

Hello,

openchrome.org drivers are included by many popular distros like
sabayon etc.for newer Unichrome pro cards to work in Linux,the only
option i found was using openchrome.I hope someday this will be
resolved and these drivers will enter debian :)
I tried to pinpoint what error i am getting for the reason of system
hangs and X crashes.
the error i got while booting into the Debian Sid system is shown below:
