To summarize what has been said on IRC:

This is a bug in mesa, and it will be fixed in 6.5.3. However, the bug
occurs in the mesa that is built in the Xserver, and this one might not
be updated soon, maybe only in Xserver 1.4. So I am marking this bug as
fixed-upstream for now, adding a reference to the corresponding upstream
bug, and we'll see what happens later.
