I have never had the problem on Sarge:

xbase-clients:
  Installiert:4.3.0.dfsg.1-14sarge2
  Mögliche Pakete:4.3.0.dfsg.1-14sarge3
  Versions-Tabelle:
     4.3.0.dfsg.1-14sarge3 0
        500 http://192.168.0.75 sarge/main Packages
        500 http://192.168.0.75 sarge/updates/main Packages
 *** 4.3.0.dfsg.1-14sarge2 0
        200 http://sarge.debian.tamay-dogan.net sarge/updates/main Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
     4.3.0.dfsg.1-14sarge1 0
        200 http://sarge.debian.tamay-dogan.net sarge/main Packages

and on Sid:

xbase-clients:
  Installiert:1:7.1.ds1-2
  Mögliche Pakete:1:7.1.ds1-2
  Versions-Tabelle:
 *** 1:7.1.ds1-2 0
       1000 http://192.168.0.75 sid/main Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
     1:7.0.1-2 0
       1000 http://sid.debian.tamay-dogan.net sid/main Packages

Since I am not @work I can not output the currently installed Version
on my Etch system, but is definitivly working too.

So Since it is working on Sarge, Etch and Sid, the Bug should be closed.

Please note, that I am developer and use "xman" daily.

Thanks, Greetings and nice Day
