Bug#406030: xserver-xorg-video-i810: No direct rendering with i810?

This means that the X server initialized the DRI, but something prevents
clients from actually using direct rendering.

LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose glxinfo 2>&1 >/dev/null

should give a hint.
