At the very minimum, you should
try to reproduce the bug yourself (which is not specially difficult in
this case)
I don't see any problem on my machines running unstable. But this kind
of things might well depend on the hardware.
I am tagging this bug as moreinfo and etch for now. We'll see when
somebody will reproduce with a recent Xorg.
and you should also know what version and how the bug was
fixed, if it was fixed at all, which is yet to be seen.
In an ideal world, that would be right... Unfortunately, understanding
bugs, how they get fixed, and getting people to debug/test/confirm things
that you can't observe yourself is very hard (hence the need for you to
reply to Julien's question on July 22nd).
