Does it work with the nv driver instead of nvidia?

Brice

I haven't tried the nv driver and I wouldn't need to switch resolution if I were using it, it's mostly fullscreen gl apps I use that need it :)  I have figured out that if i ctrl-alt-f1 and then switch back to the X console it fixes itself. workaround so i am kinda happy, it works but is inconvenient.  Anyhow there is some initialization being done on a vc switch that recently stopped being done on a mode switch.  Also, switching to a console produces a black screen too.
i will try the nv driver, but it will be in a day or two when i feel more lucid, i have a qemu problem i'm trying to fix right now.  I know it's a buffer overrun as the stack is corrupted but that leaves me wondering where...

thanks.
