your report looks oddly similar to mine, save for the brand of your
graphics adapter... can you have a peek at
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=451706 in case Brice's
suggestions are applicable, or at least to help reach a decision on
whether we have duplicate or separate issues?

in particular, what is the output of 

glxinfo|grep direct
glxinfo|grep vendor
glxinfo|grep GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap
LIBGL_ALWAYS_INDIRECT=1 glxinfo|grep GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap
