I am experiencing this issue, and I haven't been able to find anyconfiguration changes that make a difference. I've tried using/dev/psaux, /dev/input/mouse0, /dev/input/mice as the device.

I've verified with xev that X is seeing two button press and two buttonrelease events.

Do you have any other suggestions? I am going on the road with myDebian laptop and the double click issue is pretty annoying.
