Severity: wishlist
The very buggy (and often unusable) compiz is even in stable.
However, the already quite stable compiz-fusion is not even in experimental.
I know that there is a "shame repository" from sidux, but it should not be an excuse to maintain the buggy compiz and ignore compiz-fusion.
Thank you.

It looks like you are confusing things. Compiz-fusion does not replace Compiz. Compiz still exists as the core. Compiz-fusion is sort of a set of plugins. It does not matter when looking at stability. You don't need Compiz-fusion at all to get a nice, working and pretty stable Compiz. In fact, 0.5.2 has been in testing for a while and works pretty well here. And looking at the number of bugs, it does not seem very bad. The latest stable release of Compiz is 0.6.2, it is already in experimental. So I am marking this bug as fixed in this version. Compiz-fusion is being worked on actively these days. See http://wiki.debian.org/XStrikeForce/Compiz for the plan. Brice
