--- Begin Message ---
Package: xserver-xorg
Version: 1:7.2-3
Severity: normal

(Note that this bug is potentially a privilege-escalation security hole,
depending on the form of the segfault, which I have not isolated.)

Steps to reproduce:
  $ aptitude install python-pygoocanvas
  $ apt-get source python-pygoocanvas
  $ cd pygoocanvas-0.8.0/demo/simple_demo
  $ python ./demo.py
This will bring up a window cluttered with lots of things. In the upper
left it says "Zoom: [1.00]" and there are up and down arrows on the zoom.
If one clicks on these arrows, then the X server immediately crashes.

(The python-pygoocanvas here is version 0.8.0-2, from sid.)

This is true with my real X server (intel 945GM), and also running under
Xephyr (from xserver-xephyr 2:1.4-3). Xephyr gives the following output:

~$ Xephyr -ac :7

If I were a better person I would recompile X with debugging symbols
and re-run that, but in fact I am weak and cowardly and the X build system
scares me.
