Bug#446252: (no subject)
Package: xserver-xorg-video-ati
Version: 1:6.6.193-3
Severity: normal
--- Please enter the report below this line. ---
Using ati driver, the system totally freezes a few seconds after xorg starting.
Using vesa driver solves the problem, downgrading to testing packages solves the problem.
The freezes is quite violent, as there is no trace of any error or warning in the logs!

LCD screen 1400x1050
Changing the resolution doesn't help. Composite extensions are disabled.
As I've not found anything useful or suspect in any log, I've not provided anything else here.
I'm ready to test whatever is necessary.
