Can you provide screenshots?

It's weird that merely enabling the Composite extension or AIGLX would
cause this - they should have no effect unless their features are
actively used by clients. (Also, AIGLX is not really enabled when the
DRI is disabled, as in the log file of the original report.) Some older
clients used to have trouble with Composite's ARGB visuals - does
setting the environment variable

XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS=1

for running windowmaker make a difference?
